This page features a small selection of photographs from my ongoing macro studies of soap bubbles.
Ever since I built my light table, I’ve been fascinated by the idea of capturing the delicate and short-lived world of bubbles in detail. Since the winter of 2020/21, I’ve been setting aside time regularly to fully immerse myself in this universe.
Every image tells the story of a moment: the play of colors, the fine gradients, the brief instant before the bubble bursts, and the constant search for the right light. Because soap bubbles have such a short lifespan, every shot demands presence, patience, and a bit of luck.
The changing colors in the images are caused by variations in the thickness of the soap film. Light wave interference turns these tiny shifts into the shimmering patterns we can see with the naked eye — and through the lens. I aim to capture this natural beauty as purely as possible; apart from adjusting exposure and framing during post-production, the images remain untouched.
All bubbles and photographs were created by MissBubblebliss, using a Canon EOS 800D.
The works are available as fine art prints and can be shown as part of exhibitions.

Upon request, images are also available for exhibitions or purchase. Selected motifs are offered as a print-on-demand service on various items.
