Flying high & Diving deep: Vernissage and Blissbubble Show

In November 2021, MissBubblebliss’s solo exhibition took place at the Sandkasten Syndikat in Vienna. Under the motto „Flying High & Diving Deep,“ 120 selected macro photographs were shown; there was also a live performance on the evening of the opening.

The evening was announced, among other things, by this charming text in the Stadtspionin newspaper:

Soap Bubble Universes

The fascination of living mathematics and physics: The colors, the shapes, their transformation until dissolution. The philosophy: life, death, and nothingness. Open questions: What does a bursting soap bubble sound like? The unplannable moment. The essence of bubbles. The magic.

The deeper I delve, the more open questions I find. Last but not least, soap bubbles are still used in research today, e.g., to study the formation of planets. Curiosity.

Looking into the illuminated bubbles makes me happy. When you surrender to what’s happening on the soap film, you can discover stories. Organic change. High on soap and colors. Bliss.

Miss Bubblebliss’s performance showed that the colors in the images are real and not the result of Photoshop. Production: Metallic photo behind acrylic glass, ultraHD. Image dimensions: 90 x 60 cm. The images shown were created in 2020/21. #nofilter. The amazed exclamations and beaming faces in the audience were a blessing for the artist. The same was true for the lively and inspiring conversations throughout the evening.

Many thanks to the SandkastenSyndikat, Je.Jesch, Markus Liszt, and Gabriel Winkelmüller for the successful event, and to LeMonsieurFlash and David Schmidl for the photos of the opening evening and the guests.

In the meantime, this exhibition has also been showcased in Poland, the UK, and the USA.
