Bubblemania is a biannual event that takes place at Phaeno, a renowned science and exhibition center in Wolfsburg, Germany. The event is a celebration of the art of bubble-making, attracting bubble artists from all over the world to showcase their incredible skills and creativity.
During this event, visitors are treated to a series of mesmerizing performances, where artists manipulate soap bubbles to create intricate structures, delicate shapes, and dynamic displays of fluid transformation. The event is not just about entertainment; it’s also a fascinating exploration of the science and beauty behind soap bubbles, blending art, physics, and spectacle.
At Bubblemania, the art of bubble-making is elevated to a new level with live performances, often featuring collaborations between experienced bubble artists. In 2019, MissBubblebliss had the honor of sharing the stage with Tom Noddy, known as the „Grandfather of Bubble Art.“ Together, they performed across 18 shows, dazzling audiences with their unique bubble displays. These performances involved delicate bubble sculptures, stunning visual effects, and breathtaking transformations that engaged both the audience’s senses and imagination.
Performing alongside Tom Noddy made this event exceptional for me. It was a unique opportunity to bring my work into a dialogue with one of the most iconic figures in bubble history, in front of an audience that ranged from curious children to bubble enthusiasts of all ages. His pioneering work has inspired generations of artists, and being part of the same lineup was both an honor and a valuable artistic exchange.
