Science-Based Bubble Workshops & Talks

From the geometry of minimal surfaces to the physics of fluid films — bubbles open a playful and accessible path into complex scientific principles. These workshops and talks offer a unique way to merge hands-on exploration with theoretical insight, making them an inspiring addition to school curricula, university lectures, and museum programs alike.

I’ve had the pleasure of sharing my fascination for the science behind bubbles at venues including TU Wien (Technical University of Vienna: experimental membranconstructions) and the Colloque des Bulles (LPS Université Paris-Saclay, 2019)— an international conference of artists, scientists, and bubble enthusiasts.

Program Options

  • Science Talk — Visual Lecture: A visually rich presentation exploring the physics, geometry, and natural phenomena behind bubbles. Perfect for academic conferences, exhibitions, and lecture series. (Optionally online)
  • Hands-On Science Workshop: A playful and interactive workshop that brings scientific principles to life. Participants experiment directly with bubbles, learning about minimal surfaces, light refraction, and fluid dynamics in an engaging, hands-on way.
  • Science + Show Package A unique blend of live bubble performance and scientific explanation. This hybrid format combines the awe of a stage performance with real scientific insights — ideal for public science nights, family events, and festivals.
